Of course Bill Maher is correct in his opinion that sending missiles thousands of miles away to inflict damage is cowardly. If we are at war then granted they are a neccessity but when we are simply attempting to impose a police action then it is quite simple cowardly.
And while these men who drove the planes into their targets may have been insane they certainly were not cowards. I am the coward. I could never do such a thing no matter how right I may feel I was. Never.
I think those, including the president, who immediately called these men cowards were practicing a type of wishful thinking. They were confusing a natural desire to confront your assailant face to face with the coward who turns away.
Whosoever these men were they certainly did not turn away.
