Republicans Are Scum

It should go without saying that Democrats are as well. But for the purposes of this post I'm going to concentrate on exactly why the Republicans are scum. You should know this because I know that sometimes when I talk about politics to you I often use short hand.

I know that as you grow up you'll develop your own short hand for these things.

Prior to the 1998 election I had always considered myself to be an independent. Declaring myself to be either a Democrat or a Republican was repulsive to me. Folks who think, IMHO, should never declare themselves to be a member of any political party. I flirted with this in the 80's when I helped to found the Green party in New Mexico. But ultimately I found it very disconcerting and after I came home from these politcal meetings I felt the need to wash my skin because I was so disgusted by the patronizing & posturing.

In 1998 I started getting Republican RNC literature in the mail. I had never given them my address. I didn't think much of it.

In the runup to the 2000 election things started to get out of hand. I was called on several occasions by Republican operatives (note the level of sarcasm in my word choice there) who insisted that the Republican party and George Bush held the keys to Nirvana for me and my family.

At one point I called one of the callers on her bullshit and told her exactly what scum I thought she was for doing this after I had asked several times to be taken off of their lists. I informed her that the Republican party had lost my entire family over the whole concept of "family values" and all the bullshit legislation that particular bit of fascism entailed. I informed her that even if I had been willing to trust the Republicans they had made it ferfectly clear that both my family and my business had no place in the modern Republican party so she could take a flying leap.

After much consternation on her part and attempts to calm me down I asked her how she got my number as I had never given them any contact information for me and my name and number are unlisted. She refused to answer.

The next day I spent an hour on the phone trying to find the answer to that question. How do these damned Republicans know about me and how did they find me? Eventually I found out that on my voter registration it says I am a Republican. Huh!?!

So at this point it is too late to change my registration to say decline to state. But now I know that my registration says who I am and where I live and is apparently publicly available. Not good. Needless to say this is of concern because if L is savvy enough (I doubt that) she could conceivably discover where we live by going to the county clerk.

Zip forward right click to 2002 and I start getting email from the RNC. Somehow they have declined to remove me from their lists and somehow cross indexed my offline identity with my online identity. None of this surprises me. But it does completely piss me off. I never declared myself to be a Republican. I never gave them my contact information but they have proven themselves to be no different than any other scummy spammer.

In the last election I almost chose to act the spoiler and vote for that crook Bill Simon for governor because I knew he was such a lame assed loser that my vote would undermine the Republicans ability to win the governorship. I didn't do this. But I am getting close, very, very, close to using this new found Republican identity which has been foisted on me to help to undermine said party.

So, now that you know, say after me "Republicans are scum!"

Indeed Republicans are scum. This is a good article on how they've managed to hypnotize so many dumb fucks into believing their bullshit about "being on their side". How many idiotic fucktards in trailer park paradises and rural utopias who supported Ronald Reagan who back then had shitty lives, low income, were waving their McCain/Palin signs and hadn't progressed or advanced one bit, and any progress they did make was during Clinton's 8 years. Yet these stupid lame brained dipshits still support the very crooks and liars who want to keep them in the same shitty rut they've been in. It baffles to ponder what could these people be thinking..... THEY DON'T!!! They've been lobotomized by bullshit to the point of no return. The Republican party could rival any Vegas showroom hypnotist act for what they've done to these poor saps.

It's time to end the absurd union that is the United States. Let's break the country into smaller, regional countries where things can get done. I frankly don't want the flat-earthers from Kansas (well, that's forgivable if you've been there) having ANY say in how MY country is run.
