In my continuing research into American writers who, as conscientious objectors during WWII, were interned in work camps I have recently discovered the work of J.F. Powers. Like William Stafford he has quite a bent for the religious impetous behind the word. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll have a chance to write some more on this and possibly start working my long awaited conscientious objectors project into this website.
