You may have noticed that this blog has undergone a strange series of changes over the last week or two. I came to an impass using Radio for an intranet and concurrently with this I became a beta tester for the TypePad system. I quite naturally fell in love with TypePad as it does so many things better than Radio.
So I did an install of Movable Type and have found it to be even better than TypePad.
Currently what you are seeing is rendered on TypePad but in the next week or two I will begin the final transition of this log to Movable Type. I will be using Radio, it seems, only to manage opml files. I have become a big fan of the opml outline engine in Radio and love activeRenderer so I will be integrating all of this.
Naturally I intend to finally work out my issues with Radio's stat engine. I see them as nice marketing engines for my work. I also intend to stay involved in the Salon grouping of blogs. There are quite a few good and interesting writers among them and I'll continue to ping the community server.
So is this the main filchyboy blog now? I still don't understand how you have the same content in so many places.
I've made the same transition you are planning (from Radio to MT) and have also had to decide how to continue to participate in the Salon Blogs community. How do you plan to keep pinging the community server? I should be doing that with RFB...
Also, what are/were your issues with the Radio stat engine? And what issues are making you want to leave Radio? Just trying to compare experiences here.
