Mind Crime in Miami

Did you hear about the mind crimes uncovered in Miami? They had no guns, no explosives, and had pledge fealty to Al-Queda. Pretty hilarious really, because if this had been actual police work such a cell would have been watched and followed so that some big fish could be ensnared. But apparently the little Gonzales man and his first fister Bush needed some political ad space this weekend so they had to go now before those little boys in Miami got the money to go to a pawn shop and buy a gun. Utterly pathetic.

Burning the Flag

See I have no interest in burning the American flag. Perhaps if I raised one on a regular basis I would do so in accordance with prescribed ways of retiring a flag that has been worn out. But alas at this point in my life, being a rental creature, I just do not fly a flag. I consider it to be immoral to fly a flag on your car, or on your pants, or even on your shoes. But to be clear if and or when the wise men in Washington make the burning of the flag illegal I will be among the first in line to burn the flag. Don't tread on me.

The History of NSFW

NSFW means "Not Safe For Work" and is used in internet conversations or posts in which one points to a website or other online content which contains titties, penises, or otherwise salacious imagery or words. IMHO it's an absolutely hilarious construction. If someone is wandering around the web while at work isn't every single piece of content they visit NSFW since they are supposed to be "working." I have searched for a history of this term but can find nothing. Interestingly enough though it seems as though every page on the web, that I have encountered, which purports to explain the history of NSFW is actually search engine SPAM designed to raise the Google juice for gambling and viagara sites. Very ironic me thinks.

Christian Rock & Job Security

If you are concerned about job security simply begin listening to Christian rock while at your desk on the job. I have begun doing so and I am now confident my job is secure. Well, at least until rapture. At that point I have been led to believe I will be downsized.

It is important to hang the gays lest they become normal and vital members of our families. Wouldn't want that to happen now would we?.

DRM Protest

I have to admit I think this DRM protest against Apple is one of the stupidest things I've seen. In practice I am always in favor of ridiculing DRM as it's morninc from my perspective. But Apple's DRM is no problem at all. Seriously if I had to have a choice between Apple's schema and pretty much any other I'd definiately choose the Apple version. I saw one guy standing in front of the Apple store this weekend as part of this protest and had to start laughing at the stupidity.
